Cost
See collected agent usage, spend estimates based on known model pricing, and clear labels for unsupported or unpriced usage.
Last updated
LaunchZero uses the usage records it can collect and known model pricing to estimate spend. Unsupported or unpriced usage stays identified rather than counted as zero. The Cost view separates collected records from modeled comparisons and shows the basis for each estimate.
You’ll find it in the dashboard - opened from the tray / menu-bar icon, which launches the local ControlApp and signs you in automatically - under Cost. It works with whichever agent you run - OpenClaw or Hermes.
What it measures
When the connected agent supplies the necessary usage records, Cost can organize them by:
- Model - usage and estimated spend for a model with known pricing.
- Session - collected usage for an individual run.
- Period - collected usage over the selected range.
Where the provider reports cache fields, Cost can also show the cache-read vs. cache-write split. Missing fields remain unsupported rather than inferred.
The savings estimate
When known model pricing is available, LaunchZero can estimate spend for collected usage. A modeled comparison may also use a stated baseline and its documented assumptions. Neither value is a provider bill.
Published savings lines are tagged by confidence:
- Measured - read from a collected usage record.
- Modeled - estimated from known pricing or a stated baseline, with assumptions shown.
- Unsupported - the connected source does not provide the records needed for that value.
- Unpriced - usage exists, but known model pricing is unavailable.
There’s no rounded-up headline and no “save X%” banner. It’s an estimate, shown with its methodology, so you can check the work.
Reading it honestly
Read collected usage as a record, priced spend as an estimate, and a baseline comparison as a model. Unsupported and unpriced states identify where the product cannot calculate a value from the available records.
Next steps
- Policies & approvals - govern what your agent does; Cost tells you what that work costs.
